Minecraft streamer and content creator Technoblade has passed away after an extended battle with stage 4 cancer, his family announced today in a statement and video.

Techno previously revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer in August and had been sporadically updating his community on his situation while continuing to receive treatment and create content on YouTube.

Techno's father, Techno, narrates a final posthumous message entitled "so long geeks" that was written for the occasion. It was full of the creator's trademark dry humor and dark humor. However, it also serves as an ultimate "thank you" to all the people who have supported Techno's Minecraft star throughout his career.

"Thank you for supporting my work over the years. If I had another 100 years of life I'm sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade again every single time. Because those were the most happy years of my life." Techno said.

"I hope you enjoyed my writing and that it brought you joy. I love you guys and I wish you all a long, happy, and prosperous life. Technoblade out

Techno who is revealed to be Alex Techno, discusses how the money he made from merch sales and other "sell-out" pushes over the past year was used to send his children off to college. He also thanked his viewers for allowing him to share these moments of joy with them. A slideshow of images that show him through different stages of his treatment is shown on screen.

His father, who was present for Techno's final message, describes how he initially planned to create and record the message prior to his death. However Techno's declining health and other factors made it impossible for him to do the task. According to his father, he wrote the message from his bed and passed away about eight hours after.

"He was the most wonderful kid you could ever wish for," Technoblade's father said. "I really miss Technoblade. Thank you to everyone for everything.
