For over a decade, the S Pen has remained the holy grail of the Galaxy Note. That however changed this year when Samsung decided to support more devices with the stylus functionality. And the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the latest addition to that list. But the S Pen functionality on the Z Fold 3 is different from that of the Galaxy Note. Because, for one, Samsung has made a special S Pen with a rubber tip and a spring mechanism so that it doesn't damage the flexible display. And two, even though it’s carrying over the Galaxy Note’s S Pen DNA, but there isn't a dedicated slot on the phone to store it. So it's not a proper Galaxy Note replacement, and you need a separate case if you want to store the pen locally, but a bigger tablet-like screen to write on is definitely...]]>

Samsung could have easily made the Z Fold 3 better than the Mate X2 in literally every segment, but they didn't and that's actually a smart decision. Here's why.
You see the Galaxy Z Fold 3 offers better specs and features than the Mate X2 in areas like the display, 120Hz vs 90Hz. The Z Fold 3 has ultra-thin glass, the Mate X2 doesn't. There's an under-display camera on the inner screen of the Z Fold 3 while the Mate X2 has none. S Pen functionality, IP rating, and more.
But there's one area where the Mate X2 tot...]]>

Samsung just posted a video today where they are interviewing the developers who work on Good Lock, it's an app that provides a wide range of customizable features to the OneUI.
In the video for a brief moment of time, both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic made an appearance. Even though it was only for a few seconds, but we learned quite a lot of new things about the handset and the watch.
First up, we can see the design of the Watch 4 Classic in a silver variant. We know it's the Classic watch because we already have the official renders of the watch. The screen never turns on so we don't get to see the new OneUI Watch on top of WearOS. But it's clear that there will be two types of straps. One will feature a redesigned frame that allows for gapless transition...]]>

Samsung knows that 2021 is the year for them to expand the reach of the foldables because they don't have the competition in the form of Galaxy Note 21 taking away the spotlight from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3. So to capitalize on this Samsung is ready to give some huge price cuts to this foldables.
We've seen a report a couple of months ago that both the Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3 will be up to 20% cheaper than their predecessors. And now we're getting a new report out of South Korea that the price reduction is basically confirmed at this point.
As per the report, the Z Fold 3 price will be finalized in the 1,900,000 – 1,999,000 KRW ($1,655 – $1,741) range in South Korea. The Z Flip 3&rsq...]]>

The Fan Edition smartphones are usually the same as the original but with some corners cut to keep the price down. Last year's Galaxy S20 Fan Edition brought a flat screen along with a plastic back, but considering how the base Galaxy S21 this year is already offering these things, I'm not really sure how Samsung will be cutting more corners. We already know what the device will look like thanks to the CAD renders, and it basically looks identical to the Galaxy S21. We also know the specifications of the handset, and it's also almost similar to the S21 except it offers a little bigger screen size and a little smaller battery.
The one thing that we have not heard so far is the price, and although...]]>

According to a popular South Korean website, Etnews, Samsung has completed all the development of S Pen technology for the foldable phones and has confirmed that they will start mass-producing the components starting May, and the phone itself will be mass-produced from June onwards. They have also confirmed that they have developed a new Ultra-thin Glass that will be able to withstand pressure from the new S Pen.
Now, what's not clear is whether or not the Z Fold 3 will have a dedicated slot to put the S Pen inside. You see, in orde...]]>

Samsung hasn't even started the development of the Galaxy Note 21 which makes people say that the Note line is ending this year. But some people don't want to believe it, they think it's not true for some reason. But today we have another report from South Korea which reveals new information about the Z Fold 3 as well as confirms the rumors that we will indeed are not going to see the Galaxy Note 21.
According to them, a Samsung official has confirmed the news that they are not working on the Galaxy Note 21 but instead the focus will be shifted to the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
As a Note fan, this breaks my heart and surely Samsung is going to have a hard time competing with other brands in mid-year launches because foldables are still a niche market, and the Z Fold 3 is still a couple of years away from taking the Gal...]]>

The Z Fold will take that spot from Galaxy Note as Samsung's best offering from that particular year.
We have more information about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which shows that in the absence of its biggest rivals Apple and Huawei in the foldable market, Samsung is planning to bring some groundbreaking technologies to the Z Fold 3. Samsung's engineers really outdid themselves with the improvements on the Z Fold 2 which looks light years ahead of the original Fold despite being only a year apart. And that's what we will see on the Z Fold 3 as well.
We've heard rumors a couple of months ago that Samsung...]]>
