Let's start with the size. I am a big phone person, I always buy the biggest one. I spend so much time using my phone that I appreciate a bigger battery and a larger display. And I have big hands, so, it's cool. So trust me when I say the iPhone 12 Pro Max is real big. It's right on the edge of being too big.
The measurements don't tell the whole story. By the numbers, it's just a little bit bigger than the 11 Pro Max. But t...]]>

The A7C is a confusing addition to the A7 line that started with the A7 and the A7R that both launched in 2013. Since then, we have seen a hell of a lot of full-frame cameras come to this lineup. After the A7 and A7R, we then saw the A7S, followed by the A7 Mark II, the A7R Mark II, the A7S Mark II, the A7R Mark III, the A7 Mark III, the A7R Mark IV, and the A7S Mark III, and now the...]]>

Instead of one major update for the Series 6 this year, Apple has put in a bunch of little ones. Honestly, I think the new feature that will drive the most sales are the new colors. There's blue and then there's very red product red and there's a graphite stainless steel model. And all the rest.
The big update is a blood oxygen monitor, which means that that sensor right at the bottom is a little bit d...]]>

While you read over our test platform, let me get this off of my chest. NVIDIA, man you guys really went out of your way to set yourselves up here, didn't you? Like I don't get it. Spoiler alert, you're shipping the fastest graphics card on the market at half the price of the previous kin, why don't you just leave it there? Why push your luck with claims like, twice as fast as RTX 2080? Because it's not.
To be very clear, it's not like I'm saying, you know, boo, 3080 biggest disappointment ever because, right out of the gate at 1440p we're looking at a performance lead over, not just the price comparable last gen 208...]]>

There are two ways to talk about the hardware on the Z Fold 2. The first is to just talk about all of the things that Samsung has fixed from the original fold. And that list is actually quite a lot longer than I would have guessed. The main display here is made out of glass now, the hinge is way better and the cover display on the outside is actually big enough to use. They're all huge improvements over the original. So for example, this hinge now has eight cams that make it a little bit stiffer. There's elastic brushes on the inside to keep the dirt out...]]>

What makes the Duo 15 unique is that it has two screens, now ASUS have done this before on the ZenBook Pro Duo, but this time the bottom screen automatically tilts up by 13 degrees when you open the laptop, giving you a better viewing angle. The main panel up top is a 15.6” 1080p 300Hz panel with G-Sync, so good gaming panel specs, but no touch screen. The screen below, which they call screenpad plus, is a 14.1” touch screen. We’re given the option to swap between Optimus or discrete GPU only through software, and this requires a reboot to complete, no advanced optimus here.
The second screen is just seen by Windows as another disp...]]>

The main reason is that the people who are in the market for this high-end MacBook Pro need reliable and fast performance, and there’s a very good chance that the third-party apps they use right now will take a couple of years to get completely re-optimized for ARM, or at least to the same level as current Intel-based Macs.
So getting back to the 5600M 16” MacBook Pro, the performance has been nothing short of incredible. It’s so good that this is the first time we’re seeing a MacBook Pro matching up to the performance of desktop Macs that are even more expensive while not being portable like the MacBook Pro is.
Not only did we see a MASSIVE improvement in gra...]]>

he finish is called carbon grey, and it almost has a little blue tint to it. The exterior is mostly metal, this includes the lid, interior, and bottom panel. The front is plastic though just like the GS66, and while all edges were smooth, the front corners could feel a bit sharp depending on the angle you touch them on, overall though great build quality here. MSI lists the weight as 2.1kg, and mine was close to this. With the 180w power brick and cables for charging included the total rises to around 2.7kg or 5.9lb. The dimensions were on the slimmer for a 15 inch laptop and it was just under 2c...]]>

The finish is called Star Grey, the lid is all metal with a brushed finish. Inside the keyboard deck area appears to be metal, while the wrist rest is a grooved plastic. The overall build quality felt excellent, and there were no sharp corners or edges anywhere.
ASUS lists the weight as 2.4kg and mine was a little above this. With the 180 watt power brick and cables for charging included the total rises to around 3kg.
The StudioBook is definitely on the larger side, particularly in ter...]]>

All I’d be using the laptop for is basic tasks like writing scripts, replying to comments, watching YouTube videos, the occasional Excel spreadsheet to make the graphs for my videos, nothing too special. I probably would have been perfectly fine using a Chromebook to be honest, but in the end I decided that I wanted a Windows system just in case I needed to run the odd application that would need it.
In the end, I set...]]>

The MSI GS66 Stealth is a gaming laptop available with some powerful specs while still remaining on the thinner and sleeker side, let’s check it out in this detailed review and see what improvements they’ve made over the older GS65.
My GS66 is one of the highest specced options available, there’s an Intel i9-10980HK overclockable 8 core processor, Nvidia RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics, 32gb of memory in dual channel, though not running at the DDR4-2933 speeds 10th gen is capable of, a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, and a 15.6” 1080p 300Hz screen. For network connectivity it’s got 2.5 gigabit ethernet, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.
The GS66 is available with different specs though. The laptop is made out of aluminium on the lid, interior and bottom. The lid is a clean matte black, and same on the inside. The whole device is pretty much black with the exception of the silver MSI logo below the screen, which is too bad as even the last gen GS65 had that blacked out. There...]]>

The one thing that I'll tell you right now is the Chromecast is one of the most popular steaming sticks and also the one that I just don't love. My main issue with the base level of the Chromecast as I begin my breakdown of the best streaming systems, the Chromecast does not have a remote control. So your ability to use this relies upon you downloading an app, using it on a smart phone or tablet. And of course there are variations of all sorts of products but the base level of the Chromecast and the base level of the streaming sticks is not my favorite pick.
If you guys are unfamiliar with how streaming sticks works, I'm going to take you through all of that, but this is the Chromecast. You plug this into the back of your television in an available HDMI port and when that is all done and powered you can watch your favorite shows from Netflix, Prime Video, and we're going to talk abo...]]>
