The Motsubishi's Outlanders bumper reminds its buyers of a particular thing that can print manuscripts or handle faxes at the office. Even if the outlander is a three-row version of the Nissan Rogue, they are similar in some ways. There is also a plug-in hybrid that makes a combined 248 horsepower from an all-wheel drive Powertrain that has a 2.4-litre four-cylinder and two electric motors. For 2023, Mitsubishi has added a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the three-row Outlander lineup.

The Outlander PHEV is equipped with Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel-drive system and represents the company's next step toward reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030. A fully loaded Outlander 40th Anniversary Edition with a bronze roof, unique badging inside and out, and a chrome hood emblem is also available for 2023. The Outlander 40th Anniversary Edition is available for both gas and PHEV models.

Span, charging and blitz life

The Mitsubishi Outlander has a 20.0-kWh battery pack and is excellent for a claimed 38 miles of electric-only driving range per charge. The only downside that the outlander has is that it suffers from slow onboard charging systems, meaning you will have to charge your battery for 6.5 hours in case the battery is completely dead. If you want to charge your battery faster, you could opt for a DC fast-charging system. However, it uses an outdated CHAdeMO charging port that may be difficult to find in demanding areas.

Interior, solace and cargo

The new outlander has a better cabin layout than the previous models, made from subpar plastics and chintzy trim pieces. The vehicle's interior is of high quality, and it qualifies as modern. This new model has other advances that benefit the passengers as well. Passengers on the first two rows enjoy the hip room and leg room, but the third row is not as spacious as the first two rows. The cargo space on the new Outlander has also been improved, with one cubic foot added to the total volume behind the second and third rows.

Warranty and maintenance

Mitsubishi has one of the best limited and powertrain warranties versus other compact crossovers. Even if the organisation doesn't offer positive sustenance, its primary protection plans are as long as those from Kia and Hyundai.

Connectivity and infotainment

Depending on the trim, the new Outlander has an 8.0- or 9.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Both units support standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but only the latter allows users to connect their iPhones wirelessly. The system includes hard buttons and physical knobs for volume and tuning, as well as charging ports at the bottom of the centre stack. A 10-speaker Bose audio system, wireless device charging, and access to the subscription-based Mitsubishi Connect app with remote services are also available as infotainment features.

Conclusion

The new Mitsubishi has new features, and if you love this particular car, you should probably consider getting the new model. You could do more research on the other qualities that this car has before you decide to buy one in the future.
