Apple and LG TVs have proprietary Airplay protocols that allow users to wirelessly stream audio/video content from a compatible device, like an iPhone or iPad. Unfortunately, if you're having trouble streaming audio and video content from your Apple or LG TV, there's a good chance it's due to an Airplay issue. Here are some common problems like Airplay not working on LG TV or apple TV and how to troubleshoot them:

  • Unable to see or control the Airplay device on Apple TV: This is likely due to a missing file on your Mac or iOS device. Try reinstalling the app or updating your firmware.
  • No audio or video streaming when using AirPlay with an iPhone: Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same router as your TV and that the Wi-Fi settings on both devices are set to "AirPlay" mode. Before attempting streaming, you must also turn off "Block All Other Apps" in Settings > General > Restrictions.
  • Audio cutting out during playback on an Apple TV: This can be caused by interference from other wireless devices in your home, like cordless phones, microwaves, etc. Try moving any wireless devices away from the TV and reduce clutter around it. Additionally, try disabling Wi-Fi scanning on your Apple TV for channels that don't exist yet (this will prevent other devices from automatically connecting).
