You will also encounter bad guys, animals, and other things when you play. The graphics aren't going to win any awards, but they do fit the design of the game quite well. Most of the complaints are about bugs, however, this is an indie game so that is to be expected a more. The game is quite affordable and surprisingly fun to play.

Pixel Worlds

Pixel Worlds is an exciting mix of MMO and Minecraft (or Terraria). The world is 2D and has a variety of mining and crafting mechanics. There are also dungeons and other things to discover. It is unique in that it allows other players to join the game. You can join existing servers or create your own server for other players. It's a unique experience and it's cross-platform with PC and Mac.

Terraria is Minecraft's closest rival. It features many of the same elements including crafting, mining, surviving, and killing some bosses. It's in a 2D space that is not 3D like Minecraft. Multiplayer with up to seven players, more than 20 biomes you can explore, NPCs to search for, and a host of other features are also included. The game wasn't available for a few years because it hadn't received updates for a long time. But, it appears that the developers are back in the game and are bringing it back. If you're using Google Play Pass, this one is also available for no cost.
