As travel restrictions are lifted around the world, you may want to make plans for Umrah 2023. But before you start comparing flights, hotels, and prices for Cheap Umrah Packages uk, have you thought about when is the best time to go?

We've taken care of you. When going to Makkah and Madinah for Umrah, you'll want to know the best times of the year to go so you can get the most out of your pilgrimage, which for many people is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Umrah can be done at any time of the year, unlike Hajj. This means that there is no set time to travel during the year. So, when you go isn't as important as making sure you have the best trip possible planned for your pilgrimage.

Even though this is true, you should remember that some months are better than others. Do you long for months with less going on to calm your mind? Or maybe you want to show your kids the House of Allah and give them a tour of Makkah at the same time? No matter what, you'll need to figure out when the best time for you to travel is.

You may be thinking about a lot of things, like money and kids, but we've kept things simple for you here. We'll even use our "pilgrim-o-meter" to tell you when of the year you're most likely to see the most pilgrims (the times that are busiest throughout the year).

What month can you go to Umrah?

Umrah is great because you can do it at any time of the year (except for Hajj). We've put together a list of some of the pros and cons of travelling at different times of the year, starting with Ramadan, the most blessed and good month:

Ramadan

It's safe to say that the Umrah done during Ramadan is the best of the year, which is why it's our first choice. If you want more hasanat from your Lord, the best time to do so is during Ramadan, when worshippers get a lot of rewards. How's that for a first-class Umrah trip?

As mentioned in a hadith:
Ibn 'Abbas told us that the Prophet of Allah told a woman from the Ansar, "When Ramadan comes, do 'Umrah, because 'Umrah during Ramadan is the same as Hajj."

In another hadith, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salam) said: " "
"Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj."

The pilgrim-o-meter usually gives Ramadan a high score because people from all over the world want to share in the benefits of this hadith (that is to say, this is a very popular time for pilgrims). Blessed days of fasting, followed by blessed nights of taraweeh, and then the reward of Hajj without having to do it!

After iftar, of course, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Spring
Many pilgrims also choose to go on Umrah during the spring months because the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. Umrah is one of the best times to go in the spring. This is especially true for people who might be surprised by how hot it is in the middle of the desert (also scoring highly on the pilgrim-o-meter). People from all over the world come to Makkah to worship their Lord. This is the city that never stops moving. This does have a small downside if you'd rather go at a less busy time.

Summer
Now, you'll find that the weather is very hot from June to August. But, unlike spring, these months aren't as busy with pilgrims. Plus, prices for umrah packages are lower, which is a bonus. If you want to avoid a lot of other pilgrims, these are some of the best times to book flights and find the right Umrah package.

Autumn
From September to November, when autumn starts, the weather can be very humid, and it rains less often. The pilgrim-o-meter gives these months a low score because you might not find as many people booking, which is good because prices are lower during these months.

Winter
When Hajj is over in Dhul-Hijjah, many pilgrims find comfort in doing Umrah in the winter. Outside of Ramadan, one of the best times to do Umrah is in the winter, when the weather is warm and the number of pilgrims is low. Not only that, but if you have booked Umrah with your family, this is one of the best times to plan tours and activities with them. In December, the average temperature in Makkah is 31°C, while the average temperature in Madinah is between 24°C and 25°C.

Can you perform Umrah at any time?

We know that Umrah can be done at any time. This is different from Hajj, which can only be done in the month of Dhul-Hijjah. There are more rewarding times of the year (like Ramadan), busier (or quieter) times, and more expensive (or cheaper) packages, but it's up to you to choose the best time for Umrah.

How much does Umrah cost on average?

Since Umrah packages are available all year long, the price will depend on which month you book.

How long does it take to get a visa for Umrah?

Since the new electronic visa was put in place, pilgrims have never had it easier. An e-visa can now be issued in just 24 hours.
So, you now have the choice of making Umrah:

  1. With the e-visa for Umrah and
  2. with the e-visa for tourists

Umrah lasts how long?

umrah packages 2023 uk lasts less than a day, from the time a pilgrim enters the state of ihram until the time they cut or trim their hair and leave ihram. During this time, pilgrims will do tawaf, which is a walk around the Ka'bah, then Sa'ee, which is a walk between Safa and Marwa, and then they will cut their hair.

Even though there aren't many steps to the Umrah pilgrimage, you'll want to spend more time in the blessed cities of Makkah and Madinah when you go.
May Allah ask you to do Umrah, and may He accept it from all of us.
