BYJU'S, an EdTech startup, established a partnership with tech juggernaut Google on Wednesday to provide a learning solution for schools.
According to a statement, BYJU has collaborated with Google Workspace for Education to provide the 'Vidyartha' platform to aid in effective learning at school.
According to the announcement, the integration of Google Workspace for Education and BYJU's would provide a collaborative and personalised digital platform for classroom organisation, which would be free to participating educational institutions.
"With a commitment to digital education, Google Workspace for Education will combine BYJU'S unparalleled pedagogy to empower educators in their journey towards digital transformation," said the company's statement.
The Vidyartha platform will allow direct access to BYJU's math and science curriculum, as well as visually rich learning solutions such as chapter-by-chapter presentations, preset assignments, data banks, summary docs, handouts, and examinations.
Mrinal Mohit, Chief Operating Officer of BYJU'S, observed that the tremendous development and acceptance of online learning in the last year has resulted in the rapid digitisation of the education system.
Mrinal further added, "Teachers and students had to adapt to online learning overnight and are now rapidly discovering its potential. Through our partnership with Google, we are aiming to aid this digital revolution and equip our educators with the necessary technological and learning assets to ensure continuity of education."
The platform, which is designed to make learning more convenient, also includes Google Classroom, which provides simplicity as well as a secure experience for educators.
Furthermore, Google Workspace for Education features includes docs, sheets, slides, and forms, as well as access to Google Meet — the company's premium video conferencing solution — where up to 100 people can participate for free using Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals, according to the statement.
"With the rapid move to online learning and teaching, educators today are increasingly looking for more meaningful ways to bring their lessons to life, and we hope this offering makes online classes that much more engaging and fulfilling," said Bani Dhawan, Google's Head of Education for South Asia.
This solution seeks to provide educators with the tools they need to deliver a holistic solution for students, including messaging, test administration, daily lessons, and BYJU'S educational content.

Google Workspace for Education will provide official email IDs for all faculty, students, and administrative personnel to every school that signs up on the platform.
The learning system would help organise, access, and track classroom learning while also facilitating classroom management.
