It's hard to imagine if the role of Thor was played by a star other than Chris Hemsworth. He recently reappeared playing the character in "Thor: Love and Thunder".

Chris Hemsworth Almost Lost Thor's Role Because of His Brother Liam Hemsworth

Chris has had an extraordinary journey since playing the character in Thor in 2011. However, who would have thought that Chris almost lost the role because of an unexpected person, his own brother, Liam Hemsworth.

It's no secret that Liam is up for the role, but it's unknown how close he was to getting it before his brother stepped in. In a recent interview with MensXP, the "Thor: Love and Thunder" star gave his fans new insights.

"My little brother (Liam Hemsworth) was almost chosen as Thor," he said. He was one of the first people to be immediately drawn to the role so I don't know if I could cross paths with him. That would be fun."

His last sentence refers to the question of whether the film will feature a multiverse and the possibility of another actor who could play a character in the multiverse he wants to skip. "In this film, it's not something that we explore. But who knows if there's more to the future as you say, it has opened up a lot of options that we can go into or take," he said.

The same sentiment was conveyed by "Thor: Love and Thunder" director Taika Waititi. In an interview with Total Film, he said, "We don't have anything like (Multiverse) in this film. It's a single story," said the director of the upcoming "Star Wars" film.

To make his film stand out from what happened with the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, the director wanted to explore things like love and a bit of thunder, as the title suggests. "I feel like this one feels more original and unique, and differs from many other Marvel films because of that element of love, and it leans into the idea of what love means to all of these characters," explains Waititi.

Johnny Depp's First Film After Trial With Amber Heard

Johnny Depp will return to the small screen after completing his trial with his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Depp's next film, "La Favorite", will hit Netflix in France 15 months after its theatrical premiere.

Netflix has licensed "La Favorite", a French period film starring Depp as King Louis XV, for streaming only in France. "La Favorite" will be directed by Maiwenn Le Besco and is scheduled to shoot over the summer. This is the first film to feature Depp acting in French. Le Besco will also star in the film as Madame du Barry, the mistress of King Louis XV.

No plot details have been revealed for "La Favorite" so it's unclear what exactly the story will be. "La Favorite" is Depp's first role since appearing before a libel trial. Because of the accusations Heard made about him, Depp said he lost his roles in popular franchises such as "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Fantastic Beasts".

The jury ruled that Heard had falsely accused Depp and had essentially cleared Depp's name. In "Fantastic Beasts", Depp's role was rearranged when Mads Mikkelsen took over as Grindelwald for the third film, "The Secrets of Dumbledore". Many Depp fans say they won't be seeing Fantastic Beasts 3 because of the remake and that may have contributed to the film's underperforming.

Meanwhile, the role of Jack Sparrow in the film "Pirates of the Caribbean" has not been overhauled. There are currently no plans to use that character or Depp in an upcoming film. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has teased that this could change in the future.

However, Depp testified at the defamation trial that he would not return to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films after feeling betrayed by Disney who fired him over unproven allegations. Recently, Depp dismissed rumors that the star had been offered the role again by Disney.
