Eight Doors Of Jannah

Jannah: Most Muslims think of Paradise as a place where people who believe in one God will live forever (who only worship Allah Almighty). Umrah is the best way to get Jannah. Umrah can be availed by booking 5 Star Ramadan Packages. Muslims believe that we will be rewarded or punished in the afterlife based on what we did or didn't do in this life.

Eight Doors Of Jannah

Basically, what we do in this life determines whether we will live in Jannah (heaven) or Jahannum (hell) in the next one. If we want to go to Jannah, we have to do what Allah tells us to do. Allah Almighty said:

"Those who refuse Our signs and act proudly toward them, the gates of Heaven will never open for them, and they won't be able to get into the garden until a camel can fit through the eye of a needle. So is Our punishment for those who sin."

Traditions in Islam say that there are eight ways to get into Heaven. Each door has a name that lets you know what kind of people will come in through it. Some scholars think that you can go through those gates after going through the main gate.

Holy Prophet SAWW said, as told by Hazrat Ubadah RA:

"If anyone testifies that no one has the right to be worshipped except Allah Alone, who has no partners, and that Muhammad SAWW is His slave and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allah's slave and His Apostle, His word that He gave to Mary, and a spirit that He made, and that paradise is real and hell is real, then Allah will let him into paradise through any of His eight gates that He wants.

From the above Hadith, it is clear that a Muslim can enter Jannah through any of the eight gates. No one knows exactly what these doors are, but they are mentioned in the Quran and given names by the Holy Prophet SAWW. Holy Prophet SAWW said, as told by Hazrat Abu Huraira RA:

"Anyone who gives two things to Allah will be called from the gates of paradise and told, "O slave of Allah, here is wealth!" So, whoever was among the people who used to pray will be called from the gate of prayer; whoever was among the people who used to take part in Jihad will be called from the gate of Jihad; whoever was among the people who used to fast will be called from the gate of Ar-Rayyan; and whoever was among the people who used to give charity will be called from the gate of charity."

Baab As-Salaat

This is the door for people who are on time and pay attention during their prayers. Those who have never been late for their prayers and have returned to all of their other mundane tasks just for the sake of their Lord will be let in through this door.

Baab Ul-Jihad

Those who die defending Islam in the name of Allah through this door will go to heaven. Not just the martyrs, but also the Ghazis who protect their religion with the most bravery and valour and still make it home safely. In different verses of the Quran, Allah Almighty says that all disagreements should be settled peacefully and that people should only fight defensive battles.
"Don't get angry with anyone except those who use force."

Baab As-Sadaqah

Those who give to charity and help those who need it will get into Jannah through this gate because of their hospitality and because they did it for Allah Almighty's sake. If they do good things, the highest authority will reward them both in this world and in the next.

Baab Ar-Rayyan

This door will be used by people who always fast, especially during Ramadan. They put up with their hunger and thirst just for Allah, with the best of intentions, so that Allah will give them the great gardens of paradise as a reward.

Baab Al-Hajj

The door is only open to pilgrims who went on the Hajj. Hajj is an important part of Islam because it is the fifth pillar. They use their money, time, and energy to serve their God, and Allah will let them through this door to Jannah as a reward.

Baab Al-Kaazimeen Al Ghaiz Wal Aafina Anin Naas

Those who are not self-centered or egotistic and who are grounded, as well as those who can control their anger (also a kind of Jihad; the greatest Jihad) and forgive others, will be allowed to enter through this door.

Baab Al-Eman

Those whose greatest wish is to meet their Lord on the Day of Judgment, and who worship their Lord their whole lives just for that reason. They believe in Allah, the Day of Judgment, and Jannah with all of their hearts. They spend their whole lives serving God and doing what the Shariah lets them do. They also don't give in to temptations that their religion forbids.

Baab Al-Dhikar

This is the door to Jannah for those who spend their lives remembering Allah Almighty and focusing on the real purpose of their lives, which is to worship their only Lord. In every situation, they thought of Allah, the most powerful. They are the people who always think of their Lord, even when they are in pain or trouble, and ask for his mercy, forgiveness, and help. When they are happy, they do the Dhikar of the one who made them, and when they are having trouble, they know deep down that the problem is just a way to bring the creation closer to the one who made it.

Scholars have come up with other names based on what the text says. These names are the gate of Al- Tawbah (repentance), Al- Ilm (knowledge), and Al- Razeen (satisfied persons by their lives).

People will naturally want to know what will happen to those who have lived so well that they can enter Jannah through more than one gate. Hazrat Abu Bakar RA asked the Holy Prophet SAWW the same thing:
"Will anyone be called from all these gates?" "Yes," replied the Prophet SAWW. I hope you'll be one of them."
