This Minecraft Build is Fully Functional Wordle

2 min read

Someone has created a Minecraft version of Wordle and Wordle, which is quite an accomplishment when you think about it. With Wordle being an integral part of people's mornings in the last year, it was only a matter of time until someone attempted to create it in Minecraft. It's incredible to see the amount of work that was required to program such a program.

Reddit user, urgle_gurgle with a stellar name, has not only created a working Wordle in Minecraft but also explained how it was done and uploaded it to Curseforge. You can download it and take a go at it yourself.

While we often see amazing creations in Minecraft's world, the talent and ability required to create this one stands out. Urgle_gurgle explains how they have implemented word checking using "a array of math that assigns all words to a unique number (in base26) and this will be stored in an execute if score command by using a python script".

The other major challenge is the requirement for a daily word. Although the concept is easy but it's difficult for computers to grasp, especially if they have to sync with a time zone. Redditor has came up with a solution, similar to the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. They were able to accomplish this feat by creating a new word that is available every time you restart the game.

I made a fully functional wordle using vanilla minecraft! A1cdn From Minecraft

It's difficult to wrap your mind around if you don't code, but we appreciate it regardless. Theoretically, you can just hop in quickly to play a round of Wordle as often as possible This means that this Minecraft version could be more fun than the actual Wordle.
