The release of InkBox OS 2.0, aimed at replacing the stock firmware of Kobo and Kindle e-readers, has been introduced. The system components of InkBox OS 2.0 are built on the basis of the Alpine Linux 3.10 distribution, and the user interface utilizes the InkBox shell developed by the same project, providing an interface for reading e-books and managing the home library. The user interface is optimized for e-paper screens. The shell code is written in C++ using the Qt framework and distributed under the GPLv3 license.
