Elizabeth Olsen Shame When She Remembers Filming the Marvel Cinematic Universe
3 min read

The actress who plays Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff, Elizabeth Olsen, feels embarrassed and amused when she imagines shooting scenes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As Wanda Maximoff, Olsen has been involved in at least six MCU films and one special series that focuses on her story with Vision, WandaVision on Disney+.

Olsen felt that a lot of things felt very ridiculous when imagining these scenes outside the set. "That's ridiculous. So many ridiculous things. I always hope one day they just release a film version without special effects, because you will find out how ridiculous that is," Olsen told Variety, which was released Monday (3/10).

"And what a spectacular job that went into making it." Specifically, Olsen mentions that serious and dramatic scenes are scenes that he thinks are enough to make him shudder with shame and amusement.

"It's a shame when filming things like that. Because it's as if the whole world is depending on you to do it," Olsen said. One of the scenes that Olsen points to is the scene when the character Vision (Paul Bettany) - who was Wanda's partner in the MCU - died dramatically in Avengers: Infinity War.

"It was one of the last things in our shooting process," explains Olsen describing how difficult and embarrassing the scene was. "I feel very comfortable with him as an actor if we have to improvise a bit in the scene," continued Olsen.

"We are trying to find him, with the Russo brothers always guiding us," he concluded. Previously, Olsen's role as Wanda Maximoff in the MCU was revealed by the boss Kevin Feige, especially after her vital role in the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Feige stated that there was still room to explore from Wanda later. he also ensures that anything can happen in the multiuniverse space of the MCU.

"Actually there is still a lot to explore. We still haven't touched the core of the story from it as it is in the comics," Kevin Feige told Variety some time ago.

Kevin Feige guarantees that he is very pleased to be working with Elizabeth Olsen. He only asked the audience to keep waiting for the continuation of the multiuniverse story that will be present in the next phases of the MCU.

"It's my pleasure to work with Lizzie [Elizabeth Olsen] for another 100 years if we can. Anything can happen in a multiuniverse! We have to keep waiting," Feige said.
