Before beginning their ascent of the world’s highest mountain, climbers rest and prepare at Everest Base Camp. The North Base Camp in Tibet and the South Base Camp in Nepal are the two base camps used to ascend Mount Everest, respectively. The majority of people refer to the Nepalese camp as the Everest Base Camp.
How can I trek up to Mount Everest Base Camp?
To complete the climb to Everest Base Camp, you have three major options: sign up for a package tour through a travel agency, embark on a solo do a package tour through an agency, go it alone (without a group or guide), but hire a porter or guide, or go it alone entirely.
If you are alone or unsure of your ability to complete the trek alone, taking a guided tour through an agency is a good option. It is simpler but more expensive.
It is simple to find porters and guides in Kathmandu; simply visit any local agency, and they will help you coordinate people for your needs.

How Much Money Do I Need For My Trek to Everest Base Camp?

If you set aside $700 for a self-guided 12-day EBC journey, you should have enough money for the trip’s flights, lodging, meals, water, tea, and snacks. Going to Lukla by land rather than by air is the best way to save money; we’ll talk more about this in a moment.
ATMs are only available in Lukla and Namche Bazaar, the two locations where you may find them on the Everest Base Camp trip.-
On the Everest Base Camp Trek, lodging Teahouses are where trekkers staying at Everest Base Camp stay. Designed to house hikers, teahouses are bed-and-breakfast inns. The Nepalese EBC teahouses offer straightforward, spotless lodging.
As long as you place a food order at the teahouse, the cost of tea house lodging ranged from free to $3.
Despite the thin walls, the temperature inside and outside is quite constant. At the teahouse, blankets are available, and when it got incredibly cold at night at the higher altitudes, sleeping in a light sleeping bag underneath the blankets we were wearing was plenty.

The price of everything Increases as you climb, including the shower on the EBC Trek. The cost of hot showers increased after Namche Bazaar. After a strenuous day of walking, it is worth the NPR 500 average cost of a hot shower. When you trek early in the season, the water is frequently frozen in the pipes, so you can only take a bucket shower with a bucket of hot water, which is fine. However, in February at Gorakshep, it is simply too cold. In addition to a “dry shower,” we had Wet Wipes packed. If you don’t have access to water or soap to wash your hands, bring hand sanitizer.
