The absolute BEST eye makeup remover!

Hello again! Hopefully all of you faithfully wash your face and remove all makeup every night….right??? Do you use a separate product to remove your eye makeup? I used to, and I would spend between $20-$30 on said product. It was hard to find a good one, too! If you are looking forward to Facelift Surgery Atlanta

Many of them were too oily, too harsh, or would leave traces of mascara. Well here is a quick beauty tip: the absolute BEST eye makeup remover is….

Yes, you read correctly. Baby shampoo is super mild, non-drying, and it’s gentle enough for a baby’s eyes so it’s perfect for us. It removes all your eye makeup without drying the extremely gentle eye area (dryness=wrinkles…no bueno) The best part? It’s so cheap!! For those of us “ballin’ on a budget,” it doesn’t get better than that! Spend the money you used to spend on eye makeup remover and get a nice pedicure….or better yet, go to happy hour.My suggestion is to buy the biggest bottle of baby shampoo you can find (generic is good, too) and then get a 3-6 ounce travel bottle and keep that next to your sink, like this:Wet your hands, apply baby shampoo and gently move your fingers in circular motions over your eyelids. Rinse and voilá …all your eye makeup is gone, and your eyes are clean!! So the days of spending waaaaay too much money on eye makeup remover are O-V-E-R!! Try it and come back and let me know what you think.

The eye shadow TAPE trick!

Ever apply your eye shadow and end up with a dark, glittery powdery mess under your eyes?  You try and brush or wipe it away and then it leaves dark smudges in its wake?  Frustrating, huh?  I’m here to let you in on a quick trick to help you put your eye shadow on like the pros—no more mess–AND the best part?  You can achieve the cool, dramatic eye shadow lines like you see in all the magazines.  Before you start applying eye shadow, take a piece of tape and apply it under your eye, at an angle.  You’re going from the outer corner of the eye to the end of your eyebrow, like so.Make sure to get it completely under the lashes and at an upwards angle.Use the most generic, cheap tape you can find…the less sticky the better!  If you only have good old Scotch tape, then tape it to the back of your hand and remove a few times to make it less sticky (I’ve even used a post-it note).  Apply your eye shadow—you’ll notice the collection of powder on it.  Better on the tape than your skin.See all that powder? Be gone!! Oh, and please ignore the eyebrows…sheesh!

Right before the mascara slowly peel away the tape.  Ta-da!!  All the mess is gone; the eye liner looks neat and dramatic!  This trick has been such a lifesaver for me, as I like rockin’ a smoky eye and always ended up with horrible dark circles from the residual powder.  Another plus to this trick—the angle at which you place the tape results in a LIFTING effect!!  Hello—we can all use a little lift, right?Try this trick and let me know how it worked for you!  I love hearing from you so please leave comments! Until next time, stay beautiful on the inside and out!
