"That would actually be an easier offer for me than returning as Cap. Cap is very precious to me. I almost don't want to disturb how wonderful the experience was," Evans said, as reported by Variety on Monday (20/6). "But, Johnny Storm, I don't think he really got his time. That was before Marvel really found its footing," Evans continued.

Despite opening up the opportunity to return to playing the character Johnny Storm in the MCU version of Fantastic Four, Chris Evans admitted that he had not received an offer for the role. "No, no one ever came to me about that. I mean, I'm not the same as I used to be," Evans said. "That was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I'm getting old. But I really liked that, but I thought... aren't they doing something now with the Fantastic Four?" he continued.

The 41-year-old actor played the superhero character Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in Fantastic Four (2005) and its sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). However, the two Fantastic Four films received negative reviews from critics upon release.

On the other hand, the Fantastic Four had not yet entered the MCU. The franchise is known to have only started when the release of Iron Man in 2008. Chris Evans then returned to play the Marvel character, this time as Steve Rogers aka Captain America. The character he played became one of the iconic superheroes who appeared in various MCU films for almost a decade.

However, Marvel Studios has yet to announce which actors will star in the Fantastic Four. Jon Watts, who was originally announced as the director of the film, also recently left the project.

Chris Evans Explains The Difference Between Buzz Lightyear's Character and Captain America

Chris Evans is the actor behind the character Buzz Lightyear for the animated film Lightyear. He also explained the difference between Buzz and the other leading character he had played, namely Captain America. Evans explains that both Buzz and Captain America are leaders who have a sense of responsibility for the fate of others.

"But they have differences from where they come from," Evans said at the Lightyear film press conference uploaded by the Movies Twitter account on Friday (17/6), as reported by Screen Rant. Evans explained that the Captain America character came from below. The character whose real name is Steve Rogers, explained Evans, needs time to build self-confidence in order to become a good leader.

However, this does not apply to Buzz's character. "As for Buzz, I think from the start he was destined with the role of leader. That's what he always wanted," he continued. On a separate occasion, Evans said the reason for taking on the role of the voice of Buzz Lightyear made him excited. He claimed to have the same feeling when he got the role of Captain America.

He said that taking on the role of the voice of Buzz Lightyear was quite challenging and nervous for him. However, being an avid fan of Toy Story and Pixar, he was excited to take over the role from his previous voice actor, Tim Allen.

"I have to understand that there will be a lot of people who have ideas in their heads, it's like when I accepted the offer for a role in Captain America," said Chris Evans as reported by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday (15/6).

"You already know that there is such a strong fanbase there. But that fanbase exists because they already have knowledge of the character in their minds," he added. Chris Evans has a new role as the voice of Buzz Lightyear, the space ranger who originally appeared in the 1996 film Toy Story.

The story of Buzz Lightyear will be poured through Pixar's latest film titled Lightyear. Lightyear is a prequel to Toy Story to focus on the story of Buzz Lightyear who is trapped on a planet in the middle of nowhere 4.2 million light years from Earth.

He is tasked with leading his friends and troops to return to Earth safely. This mission will take Buzz through a journey that transcends time and space in space.
