How to Setup a Netgear EX3700 Using an IP Address

The default IP address of the Netgear extender is used to setup the WiFi extender. You must enter the IP address in the browser address box to access the Netgear EX3700 setup login web page. This will take you to the Netgear extender installation website, where you can easily setup your own Netgear extender to meet your needs.

Follow the steps below to use the Netgear extender IP address for setup:

  • Connect your Netgear extender to an electrical outlet. Make sure your WiFi EX3700 extender is close to your existing WiFi router.

  • Turn on your own WiFi extender.If it does not turn on, press the power button.

  • With an Ethernet/Internet cable, connect your wireless extender to your router.

  • Connect your desktop to your router as well.

  • Open any web browser on your computer or laptop and type the default IP address of the Netgear EX3700 extender, which is 192.168.1.250.

  • You can end up on the Netgear extender setup page.

  • After that, enter your Netgear extender login credentials and click the 'LogIn' option.

  • The Netgear extender admin panel will be displayed.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your Netgear EX6250 extender to your specifications.

  • Once you've finished, click the 'Save' button.

  • If the default IP address for the WiFi extender does not work, type mywifiext.net into the address bar.

Note: mywifiext.net is the local web address for configuring your Netgear extender's settings.

 Attempt to connect your extender to your router using an Ethernet cable during the Netgear EX3700 setup.

 Installing your Netgear WiFi range extender in this method is therefore simple.

 If you run into any problems while acquiring the site address, use the following troubleshooting steps: 

  • Place your Netgear extender in close vicinity to your router.

  • Make sure you're connecting to the Internet with a CAT5 connection. No part of the Ethernet cable should be cut or damaged.

  • Turn on your own WiFi extender. Press the power button if it does not turn on.

  • Using an Ethernet wire, connect your Netgear WiFi extender to your router.

  • Connect your PC or laptop to the router as well.

  • Open any web browser on your desktop or laptop and type the default IP address for the Netgear WiFi extender.

  • You can end up on the Netgear extender setup page.

  • After that, enter your Netgear extender login credentials and click the 'Log In' option.

  • Make sure you're logging in with the Netgear extender credentials.

  • Before you set up the Netgear WiFi extender, make sure you read all of the instructions carefully.

  • Follow the user guide for a perfect Netgear extender installation.

  • Keep the firmware on your Netgear extender and home WiFi router up to date.

  • Connect the Netgear EX6250 extender to an electrical outlet.

  • Make sure your EX3700 extender is close to your WiFi router.

  • The Netgear extender admin panel will be displayed.Now hit on the 'Firmware' option.After that, click on the 'Update' option.If any new firmware version can be obtained, then it will automatically download, and then install.
