How to Start a Clothing Line?

So you want to start a clothing line? That's awesome, congrats! The first thing you need to do is decide which category of clothes you want to design. If you're looking to make a ton of cash, don't start with clothes. Sell a product that's in high demand and provides value to people. Afterward, you can expand into the clothing industry with a strong foundation.

Your First Need:

First, you need to do a little brainstorming to find out what it is you produce best, and what the people want. For example, you might decide that you are best at producing shirts for men, women, and children.  Then you should come up with a brand name for your clothing line, and create a logo. Make sure that this logo represents the type of clothing that you are producing. Using the example of your creating shirts for people, a logo of a shirt you have already created would be a great choice.

You will want to continue to come up with as many designs and concepts that you can think of, and do this periodically so that you never run out of cool designs to produce. You will also want to decide how you will be able to produce these items, and where the materials will come from. You might need to form partnerships with people who can help you with these things, or you might have to invest a bit of money so that you can start your own manufacturing company.

Clothing Line:

A clothing line, whether it is a t-shirt line or a fashion line, can be a lot of fun and very profitable. However, to make money with a clothing line, you must be able to sell your clothing to people, which involves promotion and marketing. To be successful with a clothing line, it is not enough to have a product. You must think about who is going to buy your product, and how will you sell it to them.
