Huawei hosted a launch event for its HarmonyOS operating system and smart products earlier this week. The company officially unveiled the HarmonyOS at this conference, with the tagline "One as All, All as One."
The Chinese tech giant showcased its own operating system, as well as smart products such as the MatePad Pro tablets, the Watch 3 series of smartwatches, and other devices, at the event. Furthermore, the business added that it is not only developing smart devices but also a smart life solution to provide people with a one-stop-shop for smart home, smart office, smart travel, sports, health, and audio and video entertainment.
In an interview, Wang Chenglu, President of the company's Consumer Business Group Software Department, confirmed that HarmonyOS will provide a user experience similar to that of Google's Android and Apple's iOS platforms. The Huawei HarmonyOS, on the other hand, will be fine-tuned for cross-platform compatibility. The company also intends to increase its efforts in the areas of smart vehicles and smart homes.
The company even contributed all of HarmonyOS' essential structures to the "Open Atom Open Source Foundation." This would allow interested manufacturers to access HarmonyOS system codes and design products according to their needs. HarmonyOS now has over 500,000 developers working with it, and the manufacturer expects to add more in the near future.
