Google often uses its Google I/O keynotes to exhaustively detail its next major version of Android, and you can expect the same for this year as well with the Android 12. But before Google officially takes wraps off of the new big reveal, Jon Prosser has managed to get the official promotional video of the Android 12 just days before the official unveiling revealing that Google would be bent on shaking up Android's look and feel after years of relatively conservative tweaks.

As you can see this is the promo video for Android 12 which provides more insights into Android 12's visual refresh. On top of the rounded corners, you'd see a much more fluid look with loads of transitions and effects.

Google would seemingly be focused on giving its stock operating system a level of polish normally reserved for third-party vendors. The video hints at a revamped Calculator app with the ability to adjust the size of the calculator pad inside the calculator app. You can see the different appearance of notifications applicable on message and call notifications. Time is also expected to appear differently on the Android 12, which looks quite neat.

Other changes include a revamped Quick Settings menu, updated volume controls, and the option to manually group notifications. Android 12 IS HERE!It will also show the number of unread notifications in the top-left corner next to the clock when the device is unlocked. Android 12 IS HERE!Also, there is a brand-new music widget in the notifications bar, alongside newly redesigned Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles, a new clock widget as well as the weather widget. Android 12 IS HERE!The video also shows the stacked notification panel and the ability to manually group notifications.Android 12 IS HERE! Google is also adding several new privacy features to apps to give users more transparency and control, What those privacy and security protections entail exactly will remain to be seen.

However, a report published in February claimed that Google was working on an alternative to Apple's App Tracking Transparency feature. It also mentions cross-device functionality meaning all your devices will work better together suggesting there'll now be closer integration with smart home products and wearables much like the Apple ecosystem. And finally, there's a device that looks similar to the recently leaked Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with a center hole punch cutout.

The smartphone also displays the time as 9:30 which is the same time we saw from the hands-on photos of Google's next-generation flagships. Basically, Google is suggesting that the next Pixel will look like this. Although it's also possible that it's just a generic Android handset. All in all, I like the new changes. The updated animations throughout the user interface are smoother and more visually pleasing and most certainly Android 12 will be the biggest overhaul of the OS in several years. Do let me know what do you think about this down in the comments.
