e-Visas are non-extendable

If you are an international traveller visiting India for short-term medical treatment, a yoga course or a conference, you can apply for an e-Visa. Similarly, e-Visas can be extended by Indian seaports and airports. However, if you are entering India for business or other purposes, an e-Visa cannot be extended by Indian seaports and airports.

You can get an Indian eVisa anywhere between four to 120 days before you arrive in India. However, you need to make sure that you apply at least four days before your scheduled arrival date. You can get an eVisa to enter India through any of the designated seaports and airports. You can pay for your eVisa online in 132 different currencies. Once you’ve made your payment, eVisa will automatically convert your payment to the local currency.

It must be completed in order to be allowed entry, and will be checked upon arrival at the border.
