There are many ways to find new clients online and offline. However, not all ways will work for your business. Some ways might work, but not offer you the kind of results you are looking for. Here are four simple tactics that will work for businesses in different industries.

Hosting Webinars

A webinar is an online seminar. It is useful when you need to establish yourself and your brand as an authority in the industry. It can be a great chance for your business to generate leads and grow the customer numbers significantly.

To host a successful webinar, you need to understand your audience and what they need. You can look at Google Analytics to understand where the visitors to your business come from, the pages they view, how long they stay on those pages, and much more. You can also conduct polls and surveys to understand the audience better. Understanding the audience gives you the best idea of how to create the content for the webinar.

Your webinar should seek to offer a solution to your prospects. Make the subject of the webinar clear and let the attendees know exactly what to expect. You can bring in a few experts to enrich the webinar or partner with a professional in the same industry as you but in a different niche. Ensure that attendees have access to live chat and Q&A features.

Appear as a Guest Contributor

Just like webinars, being a guest contributor to other people’s content is one way to grow your brand, establish yourself as an authority, and reach new customers. You can appear on someone’s podcast, or YouTube videos, write a guest post or even be a partner on someone else’s webinar. You can market your appearances to your audience, but the most important part is that you will be communicating to a new audience. You can then repurpose your guest appearances on your own podcast, YouTube videos, or website to reach even more clients.

You need to prepare for the guest appearance as you would prepare for your webinar. As such, create content for the audience you will be speaking to and offer them a solution. If, for instance, your business is in fashion, find out about what the audience struggles with, say layering for winter. Research on that and create unique content that comes out expertly.

Cold Calling

Cold calling refuses to die. It keeps on getting better now that you have the tools to understand your leads better. However, this method should not be your main sales tactic.

Today, data has made cold calling even more successful. A few minutes on the internet and you will understand as such as you need about someone or industry or sector to make the best call. If, for instance, you need to know how to get life coaching clients through cold calls, start with research. Understand the kind of customers you target, what they like, how they spend their time online, what they do online, and what their interests are. You can even focus on companies that would need life coaching services. Research everything you can about these companies or target groups so that you will understand their needs.

From them, determine the person to call (in the case of organizations). The person you call should be the one who benefits from the solution you offer the most. Choose the best time to make the call; call when they are less busy.

Exhibitions and Workshops

When was the last time you attended a trade show? Thanks to online marketing means, most marketers now overlook these offline marketing means. But think of it this way, a trade show will likely be covered by the local media, there will be people from all walks of life, and you do not have to spend much to market. It is a way to introduce new products and meet new customers. Plus, people who attend a trade show are people with an interest in different products and people with purchasing power.

You need to pick a trade show that caters to your audience. For instance, an agricultural trade show will not serve your audience if you are in fashion. Once you are sure the trade show is ideal for your business, plan for the trade show and prepare your presentations.

One marketing method is not enough. You need to use a combination of marketing tactics online and offline to reach new clients. Research a method thoroughly before you implement it to ensure it is the right time and the right place to apply the said method.
