Logitech has introduced the MeetUp 2, an AI-powered USB conference camera tailored for BYOD and PC-based setups in small meeting rooms. This new camera is a continuation of the successful original Logitech MeetUp, which has achieved sales of over one million units.
Alistair Johnston, Head of Collaboration at Futuresource Consulting, emphasized the importance of the original MeetUp in democratizing video collaboration by making it accessible and cost-effective. The MeetUp 2 is poised to disrupt the market further as the demand for huddle room technology grows due to the rise of hybrid work models.
The MeetUp 2 addresses a range of video conferencing requirements, supporting both dedicated PC-based installations and BYOD configurations. It integrates AI-powered features, reflecting Logitech's commitment to enhancing user experience and interaction. Henry Levak, VP of Product at Logitech B2B, highlighted the AI-driven functionalities of MeetUp 2, such as RightSight 2 for dynamic views and RightSound 2 for advanced voice equalization and noise suppression. These capabilities enable IT teams to remotely manage and upgrade devices, ensuring ongoing enhancements. Additionally, the camera is constructed using sustainable materials, emphasizing environmental responsibility.
RightSight 2 leverages AI to automatically focus on and frame in-room participants, ensuring equitable experiences for remote attendees. RightSound 2 utilizes AI algorithms to balance voices, eliminate background noise, and minimize echo. The MeetUp 2 is compatible with popular video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, offering features such as Zoom Rooms Smart Gallery and Microsoft Intelliframe for improved visibility of all participants.
