It's not uncommon to see elaborate machines built in Minecraft however this one is particularly eyebrow-raising. minecraft servers list Reqaug has built an Minecraft machine that plays Pokemon Fire Red for the Game Boy Advance. Although it's very basic at the moment, it still is quite complete. There's even a level editor as well as the option to change textures. The creator of the game explains that the whole concept is based around structures and layers (a recent addition) which are tiles in the game. They move when you move.

Although there's not enough to keep you entertained, Reqaug is quick to insist that his work will "always be in development." It's more about putting in the time than whether or no blocky Pokemon recreation is possible. This doesn't require modding. If you have Minecraft 1.10 installed, you can test it yourself. Don't expect a frantic game like Super Mario Bros., because Minecraft isn't fast enough to draw the virtual screen at a speed that is fast enough.
