The Optimus humanoid robot is still being tested in the Tesla company's laboratory, but could be ready for release as early as the end of next year, Reuters writes, citing a statement from Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

"I think Tesla is in the best position of all humanoid robot manufacturers in the context of the prospect of high demand and setting up mass production," Musk said during a recent conference call with investors.

According to the top manager, the machines will go on sale at the end of 2025.
