Top 5 Activities for Team Building of Employees
3 min read

Team bonding activities are a type of experiential training where members of the team are put in simulated or real-life situations that require them to work together to solve a problem. There are several types of team building activities that will bring the members of your group closer and allow them to express and utilize their creativity to solve a particular problem. Based on the solutions they come up with, your team will have a better understanding and sense of unity.

Here are five activities that you can use to do a little team building and help ensure that your employees feel comfortable working with each other:

  • Blindfold maze

Blindfold maze is a perfect team-building walking obstacle course. This is one of the most popular activities in which groups are divided into two groups, a leader and a follower. Each member must follow the leader through a blindfolded maze at their own pace. Only when they have reached their destination, the leader removes his or her blindfold and yells "clear", signaling the end of the race.

  • Escape room

An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are given a certain amount of time to escape from the rooms by solving puzzles and following clues. This is an excellent opportunity for your employees to use their intellectual powers, problem-solving skills, leadership skills, and determination to complete the task.

  • Scavenger hunt

Scavenger hunt is a group activity in which employees solve clues and find the items that have been marked on maps. To make the activity more realistic, you can also use props such as paintballs to mark their locations on their maps. As an alternative, you may also have your team go through specific places or steps found in your organization's normal routine. This will allow them to bring out their creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Egg drop

Egg drop is a group activity in which teams complete engineering challenges by designing and building contraptions that can protect an egg from breaking when it drops from a height. Through this activity, your employees will be able to learn about creative thinking and working with each other to solve problems.

  • Barter puzzle

Barter puzzle is another group activity in which a picture is divided into pieces that are then scattered around the room. Each team is required to collect all of the pieces and put them back together again to figure out what the picture is. This will help your employees learn how to work with each other and come up with creative solutions.
