Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 Horror Game

Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 Horror Game
2 min read

Poppy Playtime was released last fall. It quickly became a favorite on many streaming platforms, where people let themselves be scared out of their minds and let the game scare them.

It all starts with a 1950s-style information video that you get on a VHS tape. I think you've seen something like this before in the Fallout movies. The colorful factory where the magic happens is shown to you in this one. It's a place where everyone is happy, bright, and having fun. An advertisement for the red-haired doll called Poppy Playtime is shown in the video. Other video clips are spliced into it, making the image jump and the picture look shaky, and the video quickly turns creepy. It's clear that things aren't as they seem, and this is shown to you in ominous text.

There is a foyer in the doll factory where you start the game, and you have to figure out where all the workers are. You have to look around the very, very dark and run-down factory. Throughout the game, you feel like there's a person behind you who wants to jump in your face and scare you. If you play this game, you will spend a lot of time walking around and taking in the scenery. It's important not to think of it as just another "walking simulator." Poppy playtime is more fun than all the Five Nights at Freddy's games put together, even though it's short.

Poppy Playtime is a survival horror video game made by American indie developer MOB Games. In the game, the player takes on the role of a former employee who visits a toy factory 10 years after it was abandoned by the game's in-universe company Playtime Co. after its staff mysteriously disappeared from the factory.
