Finding yourself stuck in games is not fun, and Steam guides have been a useful tool for everything from bug fix solutions to finding collectibles. While we'd of course encourage you to come to PCGamesN for everything from Fortnite Kamehameha locations to Minecraft enchantments, the user-created guides integrated into the Steam Community page are a quickly accessible tool that can be extremely useful in the event of a crisis. However, many users complain that the feature is now filled with joke entries and people attempting to get awards from Steam Points.

Steam Points can be earned by buying games, add-ons and other related content through the Steam store. minecraft servers You can use them to buy various items in the Steam Points shop - these are mostly cosmetic items that you can use to customise your Steam profile page and avatar, as well as emoticons and chat effects that you can use while talking to other users on Steam. Steam Points can also be given to other players as'awards'. This is usually given as a token of appreciation for the help of a guide review, review, or other assistance.

Steam Points can also be used to buy funny content. Users have complained that Steam guides is overflowing with joke guides, hoping to earn Steam Points from other players. The Steam guides section is now home to an array of guides that, though entertaining, are not actually useful.

This issue was highlighted by an article on Steam that was called "Steam guides then and now - I'd like to go back" and gained traction quickly. Many users are disappointed by the plethora of spam submissions and miss the days when guides were easily found. In theory, the best guides for a particular game should be voted up - but some of the users say they've been put off posting or browsing guides on Steam because the user experience is poor nowadays.

Some comments also note the same issue with Steam reviews. One user says that "Valve encouraged too much with the 'Funny' option on Steam reviews," suggesting that the option to reward users for humorous 'reviews' has also led to a degree of tomfoolery that affects PC gamers' ability to find accurate reviews of certain products.

Hopefully Valve will take steps to tidy up the section. In the meantime, if you do require more useful PC game guides, we've got them to offer you - whether searching for console commands for CS:GO and guides to the best GTA RP servers and how to join them, everything you must be aware of the Tower of Fantasy 1.5 update, or even the best Sims 4 mods to install in 2022.
