The name of Chantal Compagnon daughter is Usha Sobhraj. When in 1970, Chantal was pregnant with Usha, the couple left France using fake documents. Chantal sent her to France so that she could live with her parents. In 1971, the couple fled to Kabul and got into weapon smuggling. Later they moved to many places and during an unsuccessful jewellery loot attempt at Ashoka Hotel in Delhi. Both of them were later arrested in Kabul but again Charles managed to escape to France and somehow brought his daughter.

It is said that in Kabul Chantal came in touch with an American and moved to US along with her daughter. However, according to some reports Charles had said that he had met Chantal in France in 1997.

In 2021, a Netflix series named ‘The Serpent’ on life of Charles was made. In this series, Chantal was renamed as Juliette Voclain. The role was played by English-French actress Stacy Martin.
