The PTE Speaking section consists of four PTE Retell Lecture tasks, and Listening and Speaking are assessable skills in this question. Each of the four PTE Retell Lecture template tasks is timed, so you need to plan how to attempt the task in the shortest possible period of time. Audio or video lengths range from 3 to 90 seconds. After listening to the recording, you have only 3 seconds before you begin preparing, 10 seconds after the audio finishes, and 40 seconds before recording your response. PTE Retell Lecture is graded on three parameters, including Content, Oral Fluency, and Pronunciation.
The PTE Retell lecture questions are divided into four sections as shown in the image above. First, you must read the Task prompt, which contains instructions on how to attempt this question.
