Thailand's official national lottery is drawn twice a month, on the first and sixteenth of the month. หวยอาม่าให้ลาภ It is one of the only two forms of legalised gambling in the country. The other is horse racing in Bangkok. However, the majority of Thai people choose not to play the lottery. They prefer other forms of gambling.

If you're lucky enough to win, you'll have to visit a lottery agent in Bangkok to claim your prize. Thai lottery winners are obliged to claim their prize within two years from the date of the draw. In addition, they must pay 0.5% tax on their prize. หวยอาม่าให้ลาภ This tax is refundable if the ticket price is less than 20,000 baht.

Generally, tickets are sold for 80 baht, although there are vendors who charge as much as 120 baht for lucky numbers. There are also a few vendors who sell tickets at the government-mandated price, but prices can escalate on the street. It is advisable to be knowledgeable about Thai superstition and purchase tickets from vendors who are more experienced.

There are two types of tickets: Thai Charity Lottery and Thai Government Lottery. Each of these lottery tickets has different prizes and chances of winning. In the TGL, there is a first prize of three million baht. The TCL, on the other hand, has a maximum prize payout of two million baht.

Thai lottery winners can claim their prizes from the vendor who sold them their winning tickets. For bigger prizes, however, winners have to visit the GLO head office. It is located in Nonthaburi, near the Muang District. It is open every day from 8:30am to 3pm, except on public holidays.
