The Minecraft Badlion Client has been Ported To Linux

Badlion is a very well-loved Minecraft launcher that bundles many things together has now officially been ported to Linux with the Badlion Client 3.1 update.



What's the significance of it? It provides a variety of additional features right out of the box including enhancements like Optifine and their own "Betterframes" tool, anti-cheat (not in the Linux version) and a variety of tweaks to improve FPS improvements There are a lot of mods that are available such as Minimap, ArmorStatus, PotionStatus, Crosshair, CPS (clicks per second), and many more. It is used by thousands, therefore it's great to have official Linux options.



Here's how it appears It looks on Linux. The actual launcher is the first followed by the in-game image with their own menu system.



They discussed the Linux release and stated:



We are extremely excited to announce today to the entire Minecraft community that the Badlion Client is now available on Linux! In the last few months, our development team has been working tirelessly to complete the final pieces of Linux support. SOULDEVTEAM.NET This includes resolving the compatibility issues we mentioned in our announcement post about Linux last year. Just in the nick of time for BLC 3.1 The team of developers was able to finish the Linux support.



We'd like to take a moment to thank the Linux community for your continued patience with our team during the past few months. We know that we weren't in a position to release the Linux version by the end of 2020, as we had hoped, however we hope that you are thrilled nonetheless to test the most feature packed Minecraft version for free!



You can download it here. They provide it as an AppImage which means it will be compatible with the majority of Linux distributions.
