The air pressure sensor detects the absolute pressure of the intake manifold behind the throttle valve. It detects the change of the absolute pressure in the manifold according to the engine speed and load, and then converts it into a signal voltage and sends it to the engine control unit (ECU). According to the size of this signal voltage, the size of the basic fuel injection quantity is controlled.

The air pressure sensor has an intake pipe and a vacuum tube inside. The intake pipe is mainly responsible for the entry of air. When the air enters the interior of the sensor, it will generate pressure on the vacuum tube. The air pressure sensor is a control sensor that realizes the induction control based on the air pressure as the conduction object. Inside the air pressure sensor, there is an air intake pipe that allows air to enter. Once the power is turned on, the air can be transferred into the inside of the sensor. When the air enters, it will generate pressure to squeeze the sensor. The size of the current can briefly conduct the electronic signal through the large size of the pressure, so as to send a working signal to the device controlled by the air pressure sensor, make it act, and complete a complete set of work.

The principle and function of air pressure sensor

The air pressure sensor detects the absolute pressure of the intake manifold behind the throttle valve. It detects the change of the absolute pressure in the manifold according to the engine speed and load, and then converts it into a signal voltage and sends it to the engine control unit (ECU). According to the size of this signal voltage, the size of the basic fuel injection quantity is controlled.

There are many types of intake pressure sensors, such as varistor type and capacitive type. Because the varistor type has the advantages of fast response time, high detection accuracy, small size, and flexible installation, it is widely used in D-type injection systems.

Air pressure sensors are mainly used in the ignition and startup of internal combustion engines and other devices. When the internal combustion engine and other devices are started, the entry of air is required to ignite the fuel such as gasoline, but how much air needs to be injected? This requires the use of the control of the air pressure sensor. When the air is injected to a certain amount, the generated pressure will reach a certain level. When it reaches the required level, the air pressure sensor can use the transmission of the signal to stop the entry of air, so as to complete the ignition work.
