Umrah In Ramadan Is Equivalent To Hajj

Prophet PBUH said:

“Umrah in Ramadan is like accompanying one me Hajj”

The holy month of Ramadan is a time for fasting, giving, self-training, making sacrifices, praying, and being religious. We do these things in the hopes that they will stay with us after Ramadan is over and help us all year long. The holy month of Ramadan offers a lot of good things for both the mind and the body. But the real reason people fast during Ramadan is spiritual. Abu Nuaim said that Allah's Messenger said, "Soomowatsahhoo," which means "fast and be healthy." Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said this, 1400 years ago, and now science shows that Ramadan is a very good month. The first is that this Hadith is only about a woman who the Prophet PBUH talked to. The Hadith of Umm Maqil, who said, "Hajj is Hajj, and Umrah is Umrah," is one piece of evidence that backs up this point of view. The second idea is that this good quality is reached by someone who plans to do Hajj but can't, so he does Umrah in Ramadan to make up for it. By combining his plans to do Hajj with his plans to do Umrah in Ramadan, he is able to get the same reward as if he had done one Hajj with the Prophet (PBUH). Ibn Rajb wrote in Lataa if Al-Maarif that a person who can't do a good deed or make an atonement should wish that he could do it and get the same reward as the person who does it. He also said that some women missed the chance to do Hajj with Allah's Messenger PBUH, and when He PBUH came back, they asked him what that Hajj would have been like. Allah's Messenger said: "Do Umrah in Ramadan, for Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj or to Hajj with me"

The scholars of the four madhhabs and others think that the good thing said in this Hadith is true for everyone who does Hajj during the holy month of Ramadan. This is the third and most accurate of the three ideas. At that time, Umrah was the same as Hajj for everyone, not just a few people or under certain conditions. This is clear from what comes next:

• Several Sahaba passed on this Hadith. Al Tirmidhi thought that Abu Huraira, Anas, Wahb, Ibn Khanbash, and Ibn Abbas, Jabir, were right about this. Most of the stories about this Hadith don't say who asked this question.
• People have always wanted to do Umrah in Ramadan so they could get this reward. This includes the Sahaba, the Taabieen, the scholars, and the good people.

As for the idea that the good deed could only be done by someone who couldn't do the Hajj that year because of something, this is not true. One could say that if a person plans to do Hajj with good intentions, clean money, and a strong desire to do Hajj but is stopped by something outside of his control, Allah will give him credit for the good deed because of his strong desire and good intentions.
