The Windows 11 operating system is out, but users around the world are in no hurry to install it. The reason why many prefer to use the 10th generation OS as long as possible is the changes regarding hardware requirements, as well as system operation. Interestingly, with each new version, the activity of those who want to change the OS decreases. Users prefer to stick with the systems they used to have, and companies have to resort to aggressive advertising and blackmail.
To date, a statistical study has been conducted, showing that out of ten million users, only 0.29% decide to install a new OS. The rest use previous versions or even earlier versions.
Reasons why users don't migrate to the new system
In order to present a real picture of the demand for Windows 11, it is important to understand that research was conducted among business representatives. This includes companies that already have a PC with an early version of the operating system installed. This does not take into account the personal user who bought the new equipment and, along with it, the modern OS.
But why aren't businesses in a hurry to switch to a more modern OS? The reasons for this are as follows:
strict system requirements;
high requirements for the technical condition of the device;
interface changes;
work version 10 to 2025.
Entrepreneurs never make decisions that could negatively impact their well-being and business development. Until recently, installing version 11 was not cost-effective. Naturally, in the end, 11 OS will still be installed on many computers, but only when the previous one is no longer supported, and then if more attractive offers don't appear.
What are the new operating system requirements?
When a product is released, Microsoft presents the novelty as a quick opportunity for users to install it and use all the features without any extra effort. But, it turns out, effort is needed. And first of all, for installation – the creators do not warn that the user will have to perform the installation in manual mode, which is not always convenient.
Furthermore, for the possibility of a “fast” installation, compatible devices are required, such as the presence of a new processor, as well as the presence of a TRM 2.0 module. This requirement makes most computers around the world incompatible. It remains to be seen why this product is released to the market, and whether the developers really don't understand what problems it will cause in the future. Experts hope that by the year 25 the problem will be solved, and users will switch to the new OS without experiencing any difficulties.
While version 11 remains unclaimed, and statistics don't want to take into account the millions of dormant devices running on old unsupported versions, and people who don't want to update their PCs. This dedication to older OS versions is due to the lack of need or opportunity to purchase a new PC that supports other operating systems.
