Dr. Billmeyer grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated with the highest distinction with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He was selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. After that, he attended the University of Texas where he received his medical degree. Following graduation, Dr. Billmeyer started working as an intern at Detroit Medical Center’s Department of Urology, where he gained valuable experience before becoming an attending urologist at Milwaukee Hospital’s Department of Urology, where he still works today.
The Early Years:
Dr. Billmeyer has been a urologist for over 35 years. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and attended the University of Iowa. He graduated with the highest distinction and was selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. After college, he attended medical school and completed his residency in urology.
The Road to Becoming a Doctor:
Dr. Billmeyer's journey to becoming a urologist began when he was growing up in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Billmeyer is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association. He has been in practice for over 25 years and has helped countless patients receive the treatment they need.
Becoming an Expert in my Field:
As a medical student, I had the opportunity to rotate through several different areas of medicine. I quickly learned that surgery was my passion. I loved the challenge of operating and the satisfaction that came with helping people in this way. After completing my residency in urology, I knew that this was the field I wanted to dedicate my life to.
Always Do Your Best:
No matter what you do in life, always give it your best effort. This is a philosophy that Dr. Billmeyer has always lived by, and it has served him well throughout his career as a urologist. It doesn't matter if you're scrubbing floors or performing surgery, giving your best effort is the key to success. This is something that Dr. Billmeyer has instilled in his patients as well; always do your best and never give up.
