In a developing country like India, social issues still exist. People from different backgrounds experience different living conditions. Some make use of the best luxuries and the rest suffer from the adversities of poverty. Underprivileged people go through a constant struggle to access basic necessities. They are deprived of proper food, water, clothing, shelter and medical facilities. This scarcity of resources makes poor individuals vulnerable to chronic diseases, malnutrition, child labour, illiteracy and violence. They are under a constant trial between life and mortality.

However, NGOs play an essential role in the development of underprivileged sections in society. These organizations make efforts to resolve poverty, lack of education, healthcare, women's rights and the environment. They work to bring change to the current situation with little to no governmental intervention.
