The phone is said to show images that 'float over the screen like Holograms' on a phone



The iPhone 6 will go on sale in September. Apple is also expected to announce the iPhone 6 at this time.

Amazon is believed to be working on a phone with glasses-free 3D screen that will be released in June.



According to Wall Street Journal reports, the phone will utilize retina tracking technology to make images on the smartphone's screen appear to float above it like a Hologram and appear three-dimensional from all angles'



The phone will be announced in June and then launched in September, according to the report.

The company's first foray into the tablet market with Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD which are being showcased by CEO Jeff Bezo - the company is believed to be working on a smartphone with a 3D screen

Voice search using the microphone on the remote



The average price for paid games is $1.85



This would pit it directly against Apple's upcoming iPhone 6, which is also scheduled to go on sale in September.



Ming-Chi Kuo is a KGI Securities analyst, believes that the company will release the first smartphone.



"We believe that Amazon (US) will launch its own smartphone within 3-6 months, using the same strategy for hardware as used for its e-reader as well as tablet,' he wrote.



"The supply chain will begin stocking materials in Q2 of 2014 to be used in production."



This is just a few weeks after Fire TV, a set-top box that doubles up as a games console, was announced by the company.



The box gives users the ability to download movies and TV shows as well as apps.



To play games, users can use a remote, or purchase a game controller for just $40.



Mike Frazzini from Amazon Games said each game will be priced like an app for phones, which will cost on average $2.

The games available for launch include Minecraft as well as driving game Asphalt 8 and first person shooter Sev Zero, created by the games studio double Helix Microsoft bought recently.



Amazon's Peter Larsen stated that the company wanted to simplify the box and invent it.



It's incredibly powerful, and it's also amazingly simple,' he claimed.



The move could pit Amazon against Google and Apple which is expected to announce its new iPhone in September.



Jeff Bezos (Amazon.com CEO and the Founder) said that Fire TV is a tiny box that has huge specs, tons of content and a price that is a steal.



The service utilizes Amazon's existing Prime TV service and film on demand service along with Hulu Plus.



The device, which retails at $99, is targeted at Amazon and Roku's products , along with google's Chromecast.



According to the firm, it plans to expand its services in the near future.



Amazon already provides movies and TV shows on demand for free to customers who are members of Amazon's premium delivery service Prime, in both the UK and US.



In 2011, speculation started about Amazon smartphones.
