Anthill Ventures, a speed scaling ecosystem for startups, and HCG (Healthcare Global Enterprises Limited), a renowned cancer care provider, have announced the six startup beneficiaries of their accelerator program, 'Lumos Health'.

Meet the Chosen Six

With solutions ranging from diagnostic intelligence to patient experience management, these startups signify the potential future of healthcare in hcg pct.

First, Australia-based Alixir aims to replace reliance on radiologists with artificial intelligence (AI) systems. These will analyze digital mammograms and detect breast cancer. The AI system provides instant reports with 96% sensitivity and 95% specificity.

The precision achieved by “gold standard data” i.e. controlled biopsy and surgeon evaluation. It brings value to radiologists, patients, physicians, caregivers, and the hospital system as a whole.

Second, India’s AyuRythm can explore the age-old and popular Nadi analysis (Pulse diagnosis). It is using a smartphone camera that combines pulse detection technology with Ayurveda. AI algorithms are then used to recommend prioritized solutions to the causes and treatments of stress-related issues. It brings benefits to the practitioners of Ayurveda and alternative medicine.

Third, Ukraine’s BiMedis is an international medical device trade platform. This is where buyers, sellers, and suppliers of medical devices around the world can interact and close their deals. Unlike some market aggregators, BiMedis does not charge sales fees. Instead, it operates mainly on advertising revenue. It benefits equipment manufacturers, hospitals, clinics, doctors, and other service providers.

Fourth, C-Test Medicals of India designs and manufactures ‘Sampling’ instruments. This collects cells from tissue in painless ways without blood, needles, and antibiotics. The sampling tool used to collect cells from the person’s epidermis (to detect early oral cancer) is the first in the market. It adds value to hospitals, clinics, dental physicians, and ENT nurses. It also benefits government programs and service providers in rural areas who are unable to access decent health care.

Fifth, Kronikare from Singapore uses a mobile application with a hardware device that uses computer vision, thermal imaging, and laser. They are utilized for wound tissue analysis, complication diagnosis, and preventive care. This is highly needed to understand tissue damage and assess wounds.

This is one of the few companies to use Machine learning and AI to predict severity as opposed to guesswork. This can greatly benefit caregivers and patients. That’s because it enables a faster and more accurate diagnosis of chronic wounds.

And lastly, Raybaby of the US is a sleep apnea monitor. This picks up one of the most important signs to monitor breathing. It combines radar sensors with an AI-powered platform to create intelligent and accurate baby monitors. The design makes for an incredibly child-friendly atmosphere, fitting easily into a children’s nursery. It brings benefits to parents, daycare centers, caregivers, and the baby.

How The Selection Process Took Place

Choosing the ultimate six winners of hcg pct featured a scrutinous selection process. Nearly 400 applicants from India, Southeast Asia, and North America threw their hats into the ring.

Expert evaluations distilled the pool down to 30 startups. These shortlisted hopefuls then pitched to HCG leadership and Anthill Ventures during a demo day. Lastly, the final six were selected based on the synergies between their solutions and HCG's priorities.
