Jake Paul’s quest to be known as a boxer rather than a YouTuber has taken another knock ahead of his fight with Anderson Silva.
Just days before the pair meet in the ring on Saturday night, the pair were filmed engaging in a dance off while filming some promotional material. The video was described by Simon Samano in MMAJunkie as “the wholesome fight week video we didn’t know we needed,” but not everyone would agree. Paul faces mixed martial artist, boxer and former UFC middleweight champion Silva, 47, on October 29 in Glendale, Arizona. It is the first time in his fledgling boxing career that he will face an opponent with a professional boxing record in Silva.
Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva During the build up to the fight, Silva has denied that he was fighting Paul purely for financial reasons. Silva was quoted in the Daily Mirror, saying: “I don’t need the money anymore. Of course, I will make money from this fight, because It’s my job. Don’t do something just for the money. Work because you have a passion. That’s what I’ve done and why I’ve been successful all my life.”
No matter what happens between Anderson Silva and Jake Paul, 47-year-old Spider will NOT be retiring after their boxing match, the UFC legend tells TMZ Sports.
We talked to the MMA G.O.A.T. about his upcoming scrap with 25-year-old Paul -- going down on October 29 in Phoenix, AZ -- and asked Silva if this could be the last fight of his historic career.
"No, no, definitely not," Silva told us without hesitation, continuing ... "I don't know when I'm gonna stop. I know one day I will stop. But not now."
"I try to challenge myself every day, and especially right now my kid started fighting, and I help my kid."

Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva goes down tonight from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ. The fight will see the influencer turned boxer take on his toughest challenge to date, in an opponent who is not only a former UFC middleweight champion, and all-round MMA legend, but someone who can actually box, too.
Silva, who was released from the UFC last year, has been enjoying life in the boxing ring. Most recently, he face-plant KO’d Tito Ortiz.
There are some intriguing prelims for this card, which airs on Showtime PPV and FITE.tv.
One of those is ex-UFC fighter Uriah Hall taking on former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell (who knocked out Adrian Peterson recently). Nate Diaz teammate Chris Avila will also be on the card, taking on a social media star known as ‘Doctor Mike’.
Since entering the world of professional boxing, Jake Paul has drawn no shortage of attention. Now set for a showdown with UFC legend Anderson Silva on Saturday night, Paul faces what should be the stiffest test of his young career (9 p.m. ET, Showtime PPV).
Silva is the first opponent Paul has faced who will enter the ring with a professional boxing record -- not counting Paul's rematch with Tyron Woodley. In fact, Silva holds a victory over former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, which showed how capable the former UFC middleweight champion is of using his unorthodox movement to fluster opponents inside the boxing ring.Mamu
