CapCut is a free video editing application for smartphones and tablets, but now you have a version for a Windows computer, and you can be one of the first to test this software.
With this tool, your video is in good hands. The application will allow you to add a whole bunch of filters, effects, texts and other animations to your video to make it unique. Indeed, the program comes with hundreds of animations to add to your video, but that's not all, as you also have editing tools to crop it, remove the background, extract audio, crop it, and more.
The interface is fully available in English, which significantly simplifies the various actions you can take. Therefore, you can safely explore the menu and test the various options available to see the result without any problems. Note that once you have selected an effect, object, or whatever, you can either confirm it or go back. After that, you can also permanently remove one of your add-ons.
When you launch CapCut for Windows, you are taken to the main screen. From this screen, you can resume current projects if you have any or start a new project. Then a window will appear to select the video you want to add to your project; you can select one or more. If you select more than one, they will be automatically arranged next to each other in the order of selection (numbered when selected).
Once you have selected a video, you will be taken to the editor. At the top of the screen is a player that lets you see your modifications in real-time. At the bottom is a menu with all the available video editing tools. Timelines are in the centre. At first, there is only your video's timeline, but when you add animated stickers or effects, each one will be placed on a separate line, so you can position them exactly where you want them.
Be careful because to see the location of the different effects and stickers, you must be in the corresponding menu; otherwise, only the video timeline will appear. So if you want to change the order in which the stickers you've already inserted, make them longer, or move them in time a bit, you'll first need to open the stickers menu so that the corresponding rows appear. The same goes for visual effects, text, and so on.
When you click on the main menu to add a sticker, text, or effect, you will see a sub-menu first. Click on the option you are interested in to see the application's possibilities. Please note that seasonal effects are highlighted depending on the season (Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day). Please select your chosen option, which appears at the player's top. If everything suits you or not, then to exit, you need to click on the checkmark on the right just below the player.
The effect is added to the place in the video where the cursor was; if you want to remove it, click on it and then on the trash. You can also expand it with the little handles that appear when selected (this also allows you to move it to a different location in the video).
