History of Site at former CT FoodNex

There are rumors going around that the BHL Factories, which are situated at 2A Mandai Estate, were sold to the Chiu Teng Group. The Chiu Teng Group is a real estate and construction company. According to the sources, the acquisition price is estimated to be more than 130 million dollars. It is believed that SRI facilitated the deal, although representatives from the company could not be contacted for comment.

Four units of strata terraced factories were placed for sale via expression of interest about a year ago, the marketing agency Knight Frank estimated that the reference price would be $72 million. The amount that was actually transacted was about 81% greater than that suggested price. Knight Frank did not want to comment when they were called. In a same fashion, Chiu Teng Group did not want to comment for this article.

According to the URA Master Plan 2019, the BHL Factories have a total stratum area of 61,193 square feet, and they are situated on a freehold site that is 80,287 square feet and has a plot ratio of 2.5. According to sources, the land can be rebuilt into a new industrial building, and given the high demand for industrial space, there will likely be strata-titled industrial apartments available for purchase in the project.
