Every so often, a new design or technological innovation comes along, one so impressive that we should rightly pause and take a moment to absorb it and the impact it will carry.

Case in point: Let’s take a look at what the TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver offers.

TaylorMade’s Stealth Plus Driver: Optimized for Speed, Launch, Spin, and Even Sound
The TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver is the answer to the TaylorMade Stealth Plus and features years of technological advancement condensed and showcased in one driver head.

For the past 20 years, titanium, with its strength and excellent energy transfer characteristics, drove driver development. But that era is about to yield to the advance of carbon fiber.

The Stealth Plus driver features a 60X Carbon Twist face that is comprised of carbon sheets strategically arranged to deliver optimal energy transfer. This design features more than 60 carbon sheets that improve energy transfer over a greater surface area and deliver higher ball speeds.

This technology is beneficial in terms of weight savings, too. The 60X Carbon Twist technology can improve driver size and performance without adding weight. It is up to 40% lighter than an equivalent titanium face, and the Stealth Plus is substantially larger than the 2020 SIM driver as well as the SIM2 and SIM2 Max.

Even the face texture itself has been optimized with a nanotexture cover that drives performance. The head is encased by a polyurethane cover featuring “nanotexture technology,” which delivers consistent, optimal levels of friction at impact, which are necessary to fine-tune launch and spin to optimize total distance and ball flight control.

The result of these two features? A club face that delivers maximum energy transfer and forgiveness, controlling spin and launch to deliver greater ranges and more consistent ball flight, no matter the conditions.

The TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver also features an Asymmetric Inertia Generator which creates a slippery-fast head shape that aids in swing speed generation, particularly on the downswing, and is beneficial for golfers of every skill level. This extra weight which is positioned low and back can help golfers boost swing speeds while enjoying the additional benefits of enhanced forgiveness.

These refined aerodynamic properties result in a club head shape that is conducive to higher speeds and which allows weight to be added elsewhere, resulting in improved forgiveness, optimal launch, and higher Moment of Inertia.

As stated, the lighter carbon fiber face allows weight to be added in other areas of the club head. Specifically, the Stealth Plus driver features a 10g sliding weight track which is designed to help golfers control shot shape by allowing them to shift the mass and balance of the club head to create the desired handling and swing dynamics.

The Stealth Plus driver also features a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket which further enhances ball speed and can improve forgiveness, especially on swings in which the lower portion of the club face contacts the ball.

The engineers at TaylorMade have even outdone themselves with attention to sound, which is an important component of feedback. Through a combination of stiffening ribs, curvature, and overall shape, they produced the Stealth Plus driver to deliver premium acoustics - an added bonus of this highly advanced club head.

From sound to club head speed to shot control and greater energy transfer, the TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver really has it all - but is it for you?
