Use appropriate hashtags.

Many people think that using as many hashtags as you can think of is the ideal way to use them. But this is not true. Using fewer than 30 hashtags is ideal if you don't want to be on Instagram's infamous "radar." If you use 30 or more hashtags, your post may be reported, deleted, or, worse; your entire account may be banned. It's a good idea to use around 20 hashtags.

Within these 20, you should have a mix of high-volume and medium-volume hashtags. If you only use top-ranking hashtags, your post may not reach a large audience. Because too many people are using these common hashtags, like #love, your post won't show up in the sea of all the other posts using it. Using moderate hashtags with at least 20,000 followers will ensure your post reaches your target audience. It's also broad enough to show up in the feeds of new audiences.
