Bali, known as the Island of the Gods, is a tropical paradise in Indonesia. With its pristine beaches, lush jungles, and rich culture, it’s no wonder that Bali is one of the most popular vacation places in the world. However, with so many tourists flocking to the island, it can be hard to find a serene escape. That’s why we’ve put together a list of hidden gems in Bali that will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the island’s beauty and culture.

 Tirta Gangga

Tirta Gangga is a stunning water palace located in the eastern part of Bali. It is one of the best places to choose for a Bali Vacation. Built in 1948 by the late King of Karangasem, the palace features tiered gardens and lily ponds surrounded by stone carvings and statues. The crystal-clear water is perfect for a swim, and the lush surroundings make it a perfect spot for a picnic or a relaxing stroll.

 Tejakula

Located in the northern part of Bali, Tejakula is a small fishing village that’s famous for its black sand beaches and clear waters. It’s a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. In the village, you can take a dip in the sea, explore the local markets, or relax in a traditional Balinese spa. It is a must-visit place during a  Bali vacation.

 Ubud

is a cultural hub located in the heart of Bali’s jungle? It’s famous for its art, dance, and spiritual practices and it is one of the best places to visit if you are planning a Bali Vacation. Take a walk through the town’s narrow streets and you’ll see artists at work in their studios, traditional dances being performed, and incense burning at temple gates. Visit the Monkey Forest to see playful primates swinging from tree to tree, or take a yoga class to connect with your inner self.

 Pura Kehen

Pura Kehen is a stunning 11th-century temple located in Bangli, a small town in the eastern part of Bali and a beautiful place to visit during the Bali Vacation. The temple is built on a cliff, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Explore the intricate carvings and offerings, and take a dip in the holy springs to cleanse your body and soul.

 Menjangan Island

Menjangan Island is a small island located off the northwestern coast of Bali. The island is a protected wildlife sanctuary, and its clear waters are home to an abundance of marine life. Snorkel or dive to see vibrant coral reefs, exotic fish, and sea turtles. The island is also a great place to go for a hike, with trails leading through the jungle and to secluded beaches.

Green Bowl beach

Green Bowl beach is a perfect place for Bali Vacation. Green Bowl Beach is another undiscovered Bali treasure that is located about 10 kilometers from Nyang Nyang. This little, bowl-shaped beach is hidden from the parking lot on the cliff’s edge, surrounded by nothing but lush green hills and the tempting turquoise sea. But there is a cost involved. The only way to get there is up a winding 330-step staircase to the beach below, which helps keep tourists away.

Swimming, snorkeling, and surfing are all great activities at Green Bowl Beach. Two enormous limestone caverns that provide shade can also be seen here. The only time to visit this remote location is at low tide, as at high tide the beach is totally covered by the waves, which can reach the stairs.

 Jatiluwih Rice Terrace

One of the best places to visit during Bali vacation is Jatiluwih Rice Terrace an absolute must-see for all hikers, bikers, photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts, this unusual and significant panorama of meticulously tended rice terraces is situated 700 meters above sea level, virtually the island’s center.

Enjoy the striking Batukaru Mountain as a backdrop while gazing out over rice-covered lowlands for miles. The sunsets around here are spectacular. There are lots of places to stop for a bite to eat and take in the magnificent landscape all around you, including many restaurants and viewing areas.

 Bangkian Djaran Waterfall

Bangkian Djaran Waterfall Another undiscovered location during  Bali vacation is just a few kilometers to the northeast and will leave you speechless. As you stroll through a lush forest, surrounded by flowers and stone carvings, with nothing but the sound of running water to disturb the quiet, take in the beauty of nature.

This is a fantastic location to relax and refresh while soaking in the crystal clear waters because it is hidden deep within the jungle in a stunning gorge. While you’re there, continue walking a short distance to the fascinating Dedari Waterfall, which is so stunning that residents rumor that angels bathe here. One of the most breathtaking waterfalls close to Ubud is Bangkian Djaran!

 Brahmavihara-Arama Temple

Brahmavihara-Arama Temple is Bali’s greatest Buddhist Monastery, which is a sight to behold, is located a few kilometers from the island’s northern shore and adjacent to Lovina Beach. You may find Balinese architecture, statue-lined stone stairways, floral gardens with fish ponds, and several Buddha sculptures here. It’s all surrounded by a backdrop of distant, lush green hills and the ocean.

If you enter this revered and stunning location, even if you are not spiritual, don’t be shocked if you feel a peaceful sense of tranquility. One of Bali’s most exquisite temples, in my opinion!

Bali offers so much more than just its popular tourist spots. Take the time to explore some of these hidden gems and you’ll discover a side of the island that’s rich in culture, beauty, and serenity. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape or an adventure, these places are sure to make your Bali vacation a truly unforgettable experience.
