The Buildings Energy Efficiency (BEE) programme was launched in India in 2012 with the objective of promoting energy efficiency in the country's buildings. The BEE programme is jointly administered by the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the National Buildings Development Corporation (NBDC), and the World Bank.
