We, as humans, desire everything to the fullest. We wish for hefty bank accounts, passports filled with stamps, and cups overflowing with blessings. But within the pursuit of fullness, why are we not living to the fullest?

With the hustle and bustle of today's fast-paced society and juggling personal and professional life, we question our journey at every step of the way.

You revisit moments, and a sense of regret overwhelms you and makes you wonder if you're making the most of your time here on Earth.

Let's discuss how we can cherish life to the fullest.

Stop, Breath In

That's right. Take a moment and breath in. Look around you and experience your surroundings. This may sound peculiar, but why is it so?

We are overwhelmed with meetings, assignments, and deadlines. Through it all, we seem to forget about the most critical deadline in plain sight; our inevitable demise. Unlike all the other deadlines we come across, this particular one is non-negotiable. What we can do, however, is to ensure we make the most of life.

Our time on this Earth is limited; if we do not realize this fact soon, life will pass by right before our eyes.

So stop and cherish every breath you take.

Gratitude

We are inclined to pursue the next best thing.

When we buy a phone, we want the next model; when we reach a financial goal, we immediately think of hitting a bigger milestone.

This chase is intoxicating and derives a sense of purpose essential for our existence. However, if not kept in check, we will end up living a life of ungratefulness.

Living In The Now

We're so caught up in what has happened and what will be that we forget to appreciate the gift of today. The fact that you are breathing, living through each day should be enough evidence of God's blessing. Think about it; reminisce on some of the happiest moments of your life. What were your thoughts when you were experiencing them?

No need to sift through, for odds are, your mind was clear of every worry in the world. And all that remained was YOU at that moment. That is the power of now.

If we learn to truly appreciate the now instead of regretting the past and thinking about the future, we will realize the beauty life has to offer.

It may seem easier said than done. There will be times when you will feel as though, through all the hardship and patience, life isn't bearing fruit.

But, remember, the fruit of life is bittersweet.

And if you falter, you can always find a companion in one of the most eye-opening and enlightening reads of 2023. Eavesdrop on the conversations between a mother and a daughter: author Judith L. Jones pens an exhilarating life journey from the heart of Winona, Mississippi.
