How to Hang a Shower Curtain Rod on a Wall Without Drilling

How to Hang a Shower Curtain Rod on a Wall Without Drilling
3 min read

It’s your shower, so you get to decide how you want it to look! You might love the current shower curtain rod that hangs there but think it’s boring and needs an update to match your new decor. But what if you don’t want to drill into the wall because you might want to change things around again in the future? Don’t fret; there are ways around this problem, whether you have tile or slate on your walls or drywall!

Measure Twice

The first step in hanging the rod is determining where you want the curtain to fall. You'll need a tape measure for this step and make sure you measure from the floor, not from the window sill or shower head. Once you've measured, mark that spot with painter's tape or another type of temporary marking so you can remember it. Next, use your hands or a level to duschdraperistång that the surface is straight and even before removing any of the painter's tape. Finally, screw one end of your drapery rod into position by hand until it cannot be pushed in any further. Then place the other end at your desired location, making sure it's straight and level as well before screwing it into place with an electric drill.

Hardware Installation

1. Measure the height and width of the shower rod before you buy it. You'll want your shower curtain rod to be as close to eye level as possible and you'll need it long enough so that when you open the door, the curtain will not touch the floor.
2. Calculate how high up from the floor you want your rod mounted. The average height is 74 inches from the ground, but if this is too low or high for your space, measure and calculate what size would work best for you.
3. Purchase a shower set with two pieces: A wall mount and matching shower arm or pole that screws into it, plus any hardware needed (such as screws) for installation.

Hanging it up

1. Determine the height of your shower curtain rod by holding it up in place. 2. Find the center of where you want the rod to hang and mark it with a pencil or chalk. 3. Measure out from this point, ensuring enough room for both the rod and curtains and use duschdraperistång vinkel pencil or chalk to mark one more spot on each side of your shower wall (4 marks in total).
