Google recently unveiled an exciting self-upgrade tool that allows advertisers to enhance their Google Ads by transitioning to Performance Max campaigns. Now, this powerful tool is available for both Dynamic Search Ads (DSA) campaigns and Google Display drives, opening up new opportunities for advertisers worldwide.

According to the Vice President of Global Ads at Google, advertisers utilizing Performance Max are witnessing remarkable results. Now, upgrading their campaigns is even simpler with this tool, he wrote on Twitter.

According to the following update by Google, you gain access to a host of impressive features, such as inventory-aware ad serving, by switching to Performance Max. This ensures that your out-of-stock pages won’t be served with Search ads, as the tool automatically considers your product inventory, requiring no additional effort from your end. Moreover, the intelligence of Google AI in Performance Max leverages your campaign’s creative assets as valuable signals to identify and target more converting search queries. This is especially beneficial for landing pages with minimal content, boosting overall campaign performance.

The process of automatically upgrading Google Ads accounts to Performance Max for Local campaigns has already commenced, with gradual progress and completion expected by September for most advertisers. Notably, Performance Max campaigns have been accessible to all advertisers since November 2021, with a beta launch dating back to October 2020. Google initiated this auto-upgrade process for Smart Shopping campaigns in July, extending the reach of this cutting-edge technology.
