How To Properly Cut A 13x4 Lace Front Wig

 

1.Put the wig on the head or the model head first

Put the wig on your head and pull it forward so that the wig is below your hairline, about 1/4 below your hairline. You can use the adjustable straps to adjust the wig to make it secure worn on your head. If you are a beginner, you can choose to cut the lace on the model head because it is safer and you will not accidentally injure yourself. 

 

2.Draw cutting lines

Place the end of the ruler close to the hairline, use the ruler to measure the distance between the hairline and the position you want to cut about 1/8 inch. Then use an eyebrow pencil or makeup pencil to make a position 1/8 inch away from the hairline Mark, mark a few points, and connect these marked points with an eyebrow pencil to draw a cutting line. The cutting line doesn't have to be a straight line, otherwise it will look 13x4 Lace Frontal. 

 

3.Cut off the ear pieces

Divide the hair into sections with a comb, brush as much as possible above the ears, and use small clips to hold the hair in place to prevent it from falling out. Then you can draw a cutting line along the shape of the ear, the lace should not go beyond the position of the ear, otherwise it will look very strange. Then cut the excess lace with scissors according to the cutting line, please be careful not to cut the elastic band near the ears and damage the wig cap.

 

4.Cut the lace

You can use any tool to cut the lace, such as scissors, eyebrow trimmer, nail clippers, but the tool should be sharp, otherwise it will easily damage the lace edge. When cutting, make small incisions at each marked point, cut it little by little, don't cut it directly from the beginning to the end, otherwise it will easily make it too jagged edges, making the lace edge obvious, and at the same time in the When cutting, tighten the lace edge to avoid cutting too much beyond the original cut line.

 

5.Unplug part of the hairline for a natural-looking hairline

After you've cut the lace, you can do a simple treatment to the hairline, using tweezers, etc., according to your preference, to pull out parts of the hair to make the hairline look more natural. Because compared with the hair at the back, the hair on the hairline of everyone is relatively sparse, and if it is too thick, it will look very unnatural.
